Muslim Inventions That Shaped The World

I am so happy to know that there is an exhibition in London celebrating the Muslim inventions showing young generations of how really Muslims contributed to world civilization. I really would like my dear readers in London to visit wonderful exhibition.
CNN has covered this exhibition with a wonderful report about Muslim inventions in history.
By the way Muslim scientists did not claim something that was not theirs ; they added to what older civilizations had reached to proudly reminding the people with the origin of these science. I do not need to remind you that for centuries Muslim science and philosophy books were banned and burnt in Europe as they were considered as heresy.

Anyhow back to the exhibition which I am proud of , I wish we would have similar exhibition in Egypt ; it will be great for young generations to know what the old Muslims had reached from knowledge and science.

Nonsense, not because in Europe had some influence maximally 6 Muslim philosophers, but because the most known Ibn Rushd practically survived because of Latin translations as he had been exiled and many of his books in Spain burned.

The exposition is a typical product of racist multiculturalism, the exposition itself is based on many years denounced Petrarcha's vision - ridiculous.

  2. I think you should check your historical facts again ,during that the Ruler was extremist ,one ruler my dear. Many of his books found their ways to Al Azhar
I believe Ibn Rashd's philosophy was banned in most Europe till the 17th century

  3. Not really, most of his lost books are on philosophy or law (fiqh). For example on ethics link , or famous translation by Amsterdam university from Latin copy stored in Paris University book . His commentary on zoology are completely lost. And mainly the fullest version of his works is in Latin published by Frederic the Great in Venice in 1520. Prior to this publication, in Venice there had been recorded more than 50 different publications of "Editio Princeps - comments on Aristotle" only!

Your claim is strongly in conflict with the fact that Rushd was even studied by the most famous European Middle Ages philosopher, a bishop, St. Tomas Aquinas in 1250, he refused Rushd's Monopsychism which was a big milestone in Aristotelian philosophy.

More complex view at Arabic translation can be found here book . Including the fact that the Church actually often supported those translations.

  4. thanks for the links but it is not about Ibn Rushed only and you know that, France used to ban his books.
Think about the books that were burned in Spain after the fall of the Arab rule there , tons of books were burned by the orders of Church because of what it was believed to witchcraft
