Breaking News : Ruin is Coming to Jerusalem

You probably you heard bout the clashes between the Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces in East Jerusalem due to the restorations works in the area especially the restoration and the re-inauguration of the Hurva synagogue. The Hurva or Ruin synagogue is more than a synagogue and this has nothing to do with its destruction in 1948 by the Jordanian forces but it has to do with the prophecy associated with it. A 18th centuries Polish Rabbi Vilna Gaon predicted the following :
Hurva under construction by Avital Pinnick
“The Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem, which was built during his day, would be destroyed and rebuilt twice.  When the Hurva Synagogue was completed for the third time, construction on the Third Temple would begin"
Now all the Palestinians in East Jerusalem are trying to save Al-Aqsa from the mad radical conservative Zionist Jews and also Christian Zionists.  Already since Sunday the Ultra-orthodox Jews have been handing out Arabic flayers calling Non Jews to leave the land of Israel and this applies to both Muslim and Christian Palestinians
The clashes now are escalating reached to level of possible intifada. Armed Israeli forces are attacking civilians throwing stones.
Here are photos from the clashes.

Every week some fellow peace-loving Imam predicts the destruction of Europe, Israel or the USA ... time to start responding in "god's" way

  2. Surely by "ultra-orthodox Jews" you mean xenophobic Jews who have been calling for non Jews to leave for a long time?

Sigh. I blame the Britsh for some of the problems in the Middle East and can I extend my appology as a Brit to the people in the Middle East that we've screwed over in the past centuries.

But as John said there are many prophecies, apparently the next Pope is going to be the devil incarnate.
Since I believe God's way to be a way of love and peace, I'll happily respond in God's way.

I still don't understand why the Jews are doing to others what has been done to them throughout the centuries. Put yourself in the Palestinians shoes (Jews have been at the recieving end of this sort of flyer since before the 1600s) it's not very nice to be told you're hated and worthless. Why haven't the Jews learnt from the past and decided to move on in a more loving way?
Also I'm still confused because I've met some ultra-orthodox Jews who refuse to recognise Israel as a Jewish state because it wasn't set up by God...

  3. @Serurubele, 100% agreed with you!

Thanks to the Arab Muslim Leaders for just watching and not doing anything to help the Palestinians except donating money to the corrupted regime Hamas and they thought that was enough to do their bits! all this OIC, Arab Leagues are all BS, nothing more that just talking and no action! I wish we have Khalifah or somebody who will help and restore our dignity as Muslims especially the Palestinians people! Not thru' war but sting actions against Israeli and its croonies!

  4. @ Serurubele: what have we Middle Eastern Christians and Muslims done to the Jews?! Granted there has been some incidents but in general doesnt history show that the only region where Jews enjoyed a respectful life was actually the Middle East?! Also, I do not get why European devout Christians are not standing up for what is happening there, these attempts by Israel are only meant to erase the Christian and Muslim relevance of Palestine.
As for prophecies, sure there are many but only Zionist Jews are working to see them take place. I agree with you that Z's choice of words is not accurate, there are several devout Jews who do not support Israel and still hold to what is in their religion that they are forbidden from seeking to have their own country, at least not until their messiah comes. Sadly, most Jews have been turned over the years into Zionists and the events that took place in Europe made Zionism and moving to Palestine an attractive idea.
My question to you is do you also believe in the idea that the start of a chain of events is approaching? I asked some of my devout Christian friends (catholics and orthodox) and they do not seem to know much about it. So, how do Christians perceive the coming of the false messiah for Christians (also for Muslims btw) and him being the real messiah for the Jews and all that follows from that?

  5. To the 2nd anon, the ME Christians and Muslims have done nothing that I know of to the Jews, I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I was saying that European Christians have deliberately gone about persecuting the Jews for the last few centuries and that the Jews should know better than to turn around and do the same to other people.

I would say that I am not particularly a devout Christian but I do think that the events in the Middle East that are going on currently are quite shocking, but I mean that for most countries. (On the other hand many things that happen in the UK and the USA are shocking too, maybe even more to you guys than would seem to me)As for the coming of the Jewish Messiah, as a Christian I obviously believe that it is not possible until Jesus comes again, and if I point you back to the prophecy about the next Pope some refer to him as the anti-Christ others as a false Messiah.

Since I am not too hot on metaphysical matters I'll divert into the political. The Jewish Messiah is supposed to hand Israel back to the Jews and to usher in an era of peace I think I am correct in summarising. Whilst peace is the aim of all idealistic views of politics obviously an Israel just for the Jews is a difficult matter. I'd like to remind you that the war in the Middle East is not just a religious war, in fact it's not primarily a religious war it is a war for water and for land; though religion is used as a cover-all for the conflict. Perhaps the best solution to the Middle East problem would be to clear all people from all religious sites in the M.E. and hand them over to secular international control to ensure that they are not manipulated for one religion’s ends. On the other hand perhaps there is no solution, other than a general war-weariness just like in Northern Ireland, though is Israel and its Zionists are still supported by the west I can see how that won’t happen.

As to your two questions: a chain of events is ALWAYS approaching, the past will always affect the future. The 2nd question, I am far enough away from the ME and distanced enough from my religion by a horrendous lack of practice and reading to not know much and so not worry much about it. I’m slightly more worried about climate change and my work. Though perhaps climate change could be linked into the coming of the messiah?

I hope that answers your queries if not please post back. I love distracting myself from boring work to talk to you about matters that I think the west should be more concerned with, even though our interference is what caused the problems in the first place. Though if I was correct in looking at the headlines of the daily papers yesterday didn’t Obama condemn Israel? I can only hope that the USA is getting a little bit upset with Israel and actually will do something about the lands they have stolen.

  6. To Zeinobia,
So let me see, Egyptians are alowed to restore Maimonides synagogue but Israelis aren't alowed to restore their 2nd century synagogue whos been destroyed by Muslims twise, in 1720 and in 1948. Mmmm. Well Muslims are known for their selfishness and utter disrespect for any religion but their own. Jews trying to steal Al-Aqsa? Hahaha. If anyone is doing the stealing it's the Muslims, since everyone knows that the fake al-Aqsa (which was originally a mosque in Arabia, since Muhammad never set foot in Israel and there wasen't a mosque there at the time) is build on top the place of the Jewish temple. And during history it was Islam, not Judaism, who destroyed and stole holy sites.

    To Serurubele,
Just because a Jew 2000 years ago said that we must love our enemy and give him our cheek doesn't mean the Jews should bow down to their Muslim oppresors and occupiers.
You say that the ME Christians and Muslims have done nothing to Jews. I think it's about time you stop relying on Arab propaganda and look at Jewish sources. Muhammad massacred 3 Jewish tribes, Umar expelled the Jews from Hijaz, the 1st Jewish ghettos were in the ME not in Europe, the 1st to apply the yello badge to Jews were Muslims not Nazis, Jews were massacred end expelled from Muslim Spain, when the Muslims conqured Israel they massacred Jews, burned their synagogues, and taxed them to death, and finally Jews were massacred by Muslisms in each and every Muslim country for the last 1400 years. Concerning the Christians. Almost all of the attacks against Jews in the 1960s and 70s were commited by terror groups headed by Christians: George Habash (PFLP)and Nayef Hawatmeh (DFLP).

  7. @Joel so first read what I said... I didn't know what ME Muslims and Christians had done. But either way it doesn't matter. Just because you were badly treated IN THE PAST doesn't give you the right to wipe out a race of Palestinians and steal their land. Which by the way you ARE doing even America agrees now.
Two wrongs don't make a right, or to quote a Jewish Play "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth leaves us all blind and toothless"

How can you have Muslim oppressors? No Muslim country can fight you! you have nukes! You guys get US$3billion a year. I read recently that most Muslim political elites are more moderate than the people they rule whereas the Jewish elite is more extreme. I know this is true but I wish a moderate Jew would post here. Xenephobia gets you nowhere.

To all the Muslims reading these posts and worrying about the 3rd temple. The Jews were offered money by the Romans to rebuild it but they refused saying that no gentile should have a part in the new temple. Considering the vast majority of Israel's money comes from gentiles and they'll have to either build it with that and thereby reduce the legitimacy of it, or they will have to save up their own money which for a project that big would take a long time.
