Admiral Fallon and the Egyptian Curse

Admiral William Fallon made the headlines last week when he resigned from his position as the head of the U.S Central command. Another face from the Bush administration to quit , the only difference was that he was not  from war hawks in fact he was the sound of reason and Peace in that administration.

In the two years if you remember several hawks quitted and resigned capt.1bdb73f503e749c5a75cb750330aabfc.fallon_resigns_wx204 and it was considered as a sign for the near end of Bush era in the white house but to find this man resigning it was a surprise , because of the timing , he is resigning at the end of Bush's time in the white house, few months and G.W the 2nd will pack his bags and hopefully we will not see him again except when Laura decides to run for presidency  !!

As far as we all read from the newspapers and magazines , the man resigned because of statement he said to the press in Egypt , no one would have knew but fortunately Esquire magazine published that single statement .

This statement was an answer to a question asked by an Egyptian reporter working in the Egyptian Gazette "The oldest English Speaking daily Newspaper in Egypt owned by the state" .

The question was "will there be a war against Iran ?? " A direct simple question to the head of U.S central command Navy admiral Fallon .

A direct question with a direct answer from the reasonable Admiral

"No , there will be no war"

The story is finished in Cairo , strangely nobody cared for his visit locally as he was considered another heavy guest from the U.S wearing a Navy suit giving us orders , regardless of whom this guest was and this is why I respect this clever Egyptian Gazette reporter who asked him that direct question and I blame the rest of the Egyptian media for ignoring the Admiral's important answer.

Then suddenly the Admiral resigned and thanks to Esquire journalist who  came to Cairo with the Admiral  , we knew the reason behind the sudden resignation, these small lines  caused a trouble in D.C , capt.cps.mpj95.120308153602.photo00.photo.default-512x355 the Admiral said what he should not say !!

The Admiral surely said what he said and he is sure of it , this kind of man who knows very well what he is doing and to whom he is speaking , he knows what he can say and he can't say ,so I do not get or understand why he had resign because of this statement !!??

Because of exposing Bush lies that he will not attack Iran at least in this life !!??  well logically Bush can't declare war or attack Iran except verbally , he has just few months in the White House and the people will not accept any war  now in the State , so the guy did not lie

Some will say that the man resigned because of the pressures of Conservative hawks in the administration ,well I will tell you that it is too late , he resigned in the end of Bush's service !!??

Or did the man spoke from his own convictions , he said what he expected but is not reflecting the American administration !!

I just do not get !! but for sure the man paid for his visit to Cairo
